If Nasirov's case is ruined or he flees - Poroshenko may not even think about reelection - Gonchar

The arrest of the suspended from the post of the Chairman of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine Roman Nasirov has become a tough poke for the return of the state governance to reality, especially of Petro Poroshenko's "presidential" vertical, said Mykhailo Gonchar, the President of the Centre for Global Studies "Strategy XXI" in his comments to the edition "GORDON" .

If the case of the suspended from the post of the Chairman of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine Roman Nasirov is ruined, it may be catastrophic for the Ukrainian authorities, including the President Petro Poroshenko.

"Poroshenko intends to run for a second term. Such conclusion can be drawn from the messages coming from his entourage. If Nasirov's case is ruined or he flees - Poroshenko may not even think about reelection. Moreover, it could be catastrophic for the Ukrainian authorities", – Gonchar said.

In his opinion, it is now pointless to predict the outcome of Nasirov's case.

"Making predictions about Nasirov's case is like shooting in the dark. Every day the balance tips in different directions. Both state authorities and the society are interested in not giving Nasirov a chance to runaway abroad. It is clear that he has a lot to tell. But the state governance, especially the "presidential" vertical, has lost all ties with reality. And Nasirov's arrest became a tough poke to return it to reality. They feel how intensively it could hit their pockets and the power which they use to generate revenues. Dirty deeds with Nasirov are, perhaps, the most far-reaching," – Gonchar said.
