what is our goal?
The project facilitates sharing of Slovak experience with Ukrainian partners in the field of energy sector reform with focus on improving energy efficiency and the use of renewables, including the experience from the implementation of respective EU legislation and programs, their transposition into national legislation and policies as well as learning from the best practices and successfully implemented projects in the field.

training of Ukrainian governmental officials responsible for implementation of Association Agreement in the field of harmonization of national legislation with the EU energy acquis with special focus on energy efficiency and the use of renewables, including learning lessons from the transposition of EU legislation to national legislation of Visegrad countries
trainings of representatives of Ukrainian municipalities in both the EU legislation and programs as well as national legislation and policy of Slovakia and Czech Republic in the field of improving energy efficiency on the municipality level, including learning lessons from successfully implemented projects and the best practices on municipal level in Slovakia
raising public awareness and enhance public knowledge in Ukraine about the EU policies in the field of energy efficiency and the use of renewables with the reference on the experience of Visegrad Four countries
we will realize
1. Four-day training in Kyiv for the Ukrainian governmental officials
Presentations of the V4 experience in the field of energy efficiency by national experts from V4 countries. Each of the V4 experts will be holding one day seminar lecturing on their country experience from the implementation of the EU legislation, development of national policies and programs in the field of energy efficiency and the use of renewables.
2. Six-day training in the Czech Republic for 20 representatives of Ukrainian municipalities
Two-day seminar with participation of the Czech experts
Overview of the EU and Czech policies in the field, programs of European Association of Energy Cities, Covenant of Mayors, Action plans on sustainable energy of towns and municipalities, innovative financing schemes implemented in the Czech cities and regions, the newest approaches towards improving energy efficiency of buildings, energy management systems on regional and municipal level – multilevel EM systems, public awareness rising and development of cooperation between municipalities and their citizens in the field of energy efficiency.
Three days – field trips: learning best practices
Field trips to successfully implemented projects in the field with focus on municipalities with central heating systems, public lightning modernization, building insulations etc.
3. Fair of the successful projects realized in the field of energy efficiency in Slovakia in Ukrainian regional center (Lviv)
One-day long small fair with presentation of successful projects realized in Slovakia in the field of energy efficiency and use of renewables which will be part of the seminar with participation of one or two Slovak and Ukrainian experts.
4. Regional high-level event for municipalities, experts and broad public
The aim of this high-level event is to disseminate experience of the V4 countries in the field of energy efficiency and the use of renewables to energy community in Ukrainian region, including regional and municipal administrations, businesses, NGO and media. The one-day event will consist of three main panels (panel 1: governmental officials of the V4 and regional administration; panel 2: V4 experts, and panel 3: Ukrainian experts). The event will be open to wider public.

7. Book on V4 experience in the field of energy effciency (in Ukrainian and English)
The aim of the publication is to disseminate experience of the V4 countries in the field to wider energy community in Ukraine. Authors of the publication are to be the V4 experts lecturing at the training modules.
