After government's decision to honour Naftogaz with monopolistic position on the gas market, private gas companies started to defend own rights. The parties should start dialog in order to ensure gas supply for the country, according to Andrii Chubyk, energy expert from the Centre for Global Studies Strategy XXI, Golos Stolytsi.
The government's decision to grant Naftogaz monopolistic status on the gas market in Ukraine and following responces from private gas producers show the first part of discussion, where both parties use hard arguments.
Next step should be wide communication process among parties to find a common beneficial solution.
It may require some financial restrictions, but will secure supply of gas for the country.
