"Under the condition of preservation of current domestic gas extraction rate and volumes of gas imports, Ukraine will pass successfully the heating season 2018 - 2019," - said Mykhailo Gonchar, President of the Centre for Global Studies Strategy XXI in his interview to Apostrophe.
"This fact is already confirmed by the experience of several previous winters, when it was even slightly less than 17 billion cubic meters, and then there was still some amount left in gas storages in the end of the heating season," said Gonchar.
According to Obozrevatel, the Cabinet of Ministers postponed the increase of the gas tariff until October 18, 2018. By this time, the population and utility providers will buy gas at a price that was actual during one year - UAH 6.9 per cubic meter.
