"Of course, sanctions have been imposed with huge delay. They should have been introduced at least in 2015. But given the corruptions of our state apparatus, a number of Russians avoided entering the sanction list. Repelling the aggression of the RF, the political leadership of Ukraine is in a state of passive defense. And it turns out that we are waiting for other countries sanctions, so that do not tease the aggressor themselves, and then we adjust for them. With this approach, the attitude towards us will not be the best. We not only win the allies, but we can also lose our current partners. They can ask us a logical question: why they impose sanctions on Russia earlier than us," Gonchar said.

According to him, the sanctions against the outlaw businessman Sergei Kurchenko were introduced because he "did not agree" with the Ukrainian authorities.
