Expert: US will punish Siemens for supplying turbines to Crimea

In the United States, the situation with possible Russian supply of German Siemens turbines to the annexed Crimea is being closely monitored. This was said on the air of the "Radio Crimea.Realities" by the Ukrainian energy expert Mykhailo Gonchar. He noted that the company will suffer significant losses as a result of investigation of this agreement.

"Appropriate investigations will be carried out both in Germany and abroad, in the European Union. In the United States there is a hobby - to watch European companies very closely on the issue of their complying with sanctions regimes. When these investigations are completed, we will see the true picture and I think that Siemens will suffer serious losses, not only reputational ones. It will turn out that the whole deal will bring serious problems for the company, its business in the future ", - Gonchar said.

In turn, the correspondent of Radio Liberty in Germany, Natalia Pysanskaya, said that in Germany they also monitor the investigation of the possible supply of turbines to the peninsula.
