Ukraine and "Nord Stream 2": oppose or line up?

Ukraine offers the EU an alternative to "Nord Stream-2" gas pipeline, which Russian "Gazprom" plans to lay across the Baltic Sea. In the Presidential Administration of Ukraine, this project has been called "anti-European" because it does not contribute to diversification of gas supply to Europe, and instead it is offered to build up a gas consortium on the basis of the Ukrainian GTS to more fully use the existing gas pipelines and gas storages - it is said in the article of "Krym.Realiyi".

Ukrainian proposals will not be interested for those who have joined designing, approval and construction of the second stage of "Nord Stream" because they got in with "Gazprom", president of the Centre for Global Studies "Strategy XXI" Mykhailo Gonchar said. So he advises the Ukrainian authorities to pay more attention to dealing with many, according to him, opponents of this gas transportation project in Europe.

Gonchar adds, some German, Austrian, French, British and Dutch companies joined the project, but at the government level only officials in Germany and Austria spoke in favor of the "Nord Stream 2" because anti-Kremlin US sanctions were spread on this project.
