The security review of the CACDS No 1 is devoted primarily to the analysis of the prospects for the beginning of 2018 in the field of improving the national security and defense system. The conclusions also provide expert opinions on transformation of threats from Russia during the country's election campaign. Experts of the Expert Council under the CACDS have also analyzed the potential for adoption of a draft law, which may initiate the process of reintegration of the occupied by Russia regions.

In addition, the experts offer Bulgaria's experience in confronting Russian hybrid threats, as well as experience of the Baltic states in organization of resistance to hostile Russian Federation.

A separate expert study is devoted to the creation and use of Special Operations Forces by NATO countries.
