Press conference "The Future of the extractive industry of Ukraine, monitoring of resource and finance flows from hydrocarbon production"

On February, 19, 2015 at 11a.m. at UKRINFORM Press Center (Bohdan Khmelnytsky str. 8/16) Press Conference "The Future of the extractive industry of Ukraine, monitoring of resource and finance flows from hydrocarbon production" within the Project “Independent monitoring of resource and finance flows from development of conventional and unconventional hydrocarbons in Ukraine within Production Sharing Agreement» will be held.

Organizers: Kyiv International Energy Club “Q-Club” and partner organizations   
 Energy sector of Ukraine is one of the most opaque and corrupt among the branches of the national economy and in comparison to other neighboring countries.
As a source of enrichment for a small group of people, it slows down modernization changes in the economy, blocks the introduction of energy saving technologies and the development of domestic hydrocarbon production.
 During the Press Conference analytical bulletin with expert practical work on the following questions will be presented: 
Gas sector - state, development prospects, investment climate, statistics
The value of revenues from hydrocarbon production for the state and local budget.
Legal contexts and the possibility of creating special mechanisms for managing  hydrocarbon revenues - competence of central and local budgets in regard to energy sector.
Integrating efforts of public sector and government to improve the functioning of energy sector
Draft Law of Ukraine "On the National Development Fund" as a possible tool for improving transparency in the industry and using the revenues for the benefit of all the citizens of Ukraine.
