International round table: EU GLOBAL STRATEGY: PLACE, ROLE and CONTRIBUTION of UKRAINE ^Featured

The international round table, devoted to the issues of the European Union - Ukraine cooperation in the sphere of foreign and security policy in the current conditions, will be held with participation of representatives of the EU missions and foreign diplomatic missions of the EU member states in Ukraine, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the Ukrainian Government, European and Ukrainian experts, which study international relations and security issues.

Date: APRIL, 24, 2017, 10.00 - 14.00

Venue: conference hall “A”, hotel "Rus" (4, Hospitalna St., Kyiv).

Registration starts at 9:30 on April, 24, 2017.

At the event the preliminary results of the first year implementation of the EU Global Strategy on Foreign and Security Policy, as wells as the role, place and interests of Ukraine in it and ways to develop further EU-Ukraine cooperation in this dimension will be discussed.

The roundtable agenda will include following issues:

The Global Strategy of the EU – modernization of the foreign and security policy of the European Union
EU policy in terms of countering modern threats
Cooperation of the EU with NATO and other partners
Eastern Europe and the Black Sea region in the Global strategy of the EU on Foreign and Security Policy
Challenges for the EU foreign and security policy and its Eastern partners
The place and role of Ukraine in the process of implementation of the Global strategy of the EU
Integration of Ukraine to the Common foreign and security policy of the EU
Possible contribution of Ukraine in the implementation of the Global strategy of the EU and prospects for bilateral and multilateral cooperation in this dimension

The event will be held with the support of the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung Office in Ukraine in partnership with the Centre for Global Studies Strategy XXI and in cooperation with the Ukrainian Centre for Independent Political Research and the Slovak Foreign Policy Association.

Working languages: Ukrainian, English.
