12th meeting of Platform 3 on Energy Security under the Eastern Partnership. This meeting will take place on 23 October 2014 in Belgium. The thematic sections of the meeting will focus on two activities of the 2014-2017 Work Programme: i) on security of supply and more specifically on regional interconnections (activity 2). This subject was discussed at ministerial level at the 1st Informal Eastern Partnership Energy Dialogue on 8 September in Baku. At that meeting it was decided that discussions on these issues should continue at the Platform meeting. Issue of selection criteria for projects of mutual interest as well as the potential financing including in cooperation with the European Investment Bank; and ii) on conventional and unconventional oil and gas resources (activity 5). The latter activity was only added to the Platforms' work programme in autumn 2013.
