Coal price is not the main point to be considered by evaluation of import destinations. Much more important is security of supply, which could be not ensured from Russia or uncontrolled territories.

Ukraine should accept services of an traiding company for supply of coal or go directly to coal producer.

Poland is a supplier of coking coal for Ukraine, because Ukraine has have surplus of own energetic coal for many years. Polish coal should be considered for the case of possible naval blockade.

The case against Prodan may have two reasons, where coal barons from the East Ukraine and their Russian masters try to block coal import diversification and someone uses possibility to change energy minister.

It is possible and necessary not to use Russian coal in order to prevent deaper dependance.
