Is Russia's 'gas aggression' possible against Europe after the Stockholm Arbitration? - Mykhailo Gonchar

The president of the Centre for Global Studies "Strategy XXI", Mykhailo Gonchar, in an interview for UKRLIFE.TV, analyzed in detail the economic and geopolitical consequences that could be achieved after the decision of the Stockholm Arbitration. According to this decision, Gazprom is due to pay Naftogaz for transportation of less gas in 2014-15.

Mykhailo Gonchar explained why Gazprom was so shocked by the decision of Stockholm Arbitration and what consequences it would have for the European energy sector and Ukraine. Why gas contracts between Ukraine and Russia in 2009 were not market-based and how it hurt the Ukrainian economy.

Russia's behavior is simply a nervous breakdown of Gazprom, an excessive reaction to the loss in the Stockholm Arbitration. But it is not profitable for Russia to unleash another gas war, because they are waiting for the final decision of Germany on the permission for the Nord Stream 2. At the same time, they like to threaten in their inherent manner, "- he explained.
