Now putoMedia started propaganda training - "Fuel strife in Ukraine put Europe on the brink of energy starvation", "The Authorities of the Russian Federation and "Gazprom" repeatedly expressed concerns about Ukraine's ability to go through winter peaks of gas demand in connection with insufficient filling of the Ukrainian UGS" and the like. Quarrels in the oil and gas sector between Ukrtransgaz and NAK Naftogaz have been widely used, hereby it is pointed out that they are a threat to stability of gas transit to Europe.
Thus, Russia will try to use the "coal destabilization", which is now spread not so much by performers of blockade, but by the government with the aim to prove the need of a trade with "effectively controlled" (by Russia) territories and to prevent adoption by the Parliament of Ukraine of the Law with definition of uncontrolled territories as occupied.
It is not excluded that in such circumstances Russia will try to add to coal self-destabilization of Ukraine a gas component - reduction of transit. Cyber attacks on the Integrated Power System of Ukraine are not also ruled out - it is worth to recall the attacks of December 2016 and 2015.
So, what the government does now is a dangerous game for the benefit of Akhmetov, for the detriment of society and themselves, too. And PU will have only to clap Ukrainian officials, especially if they impose a state of emergency in the energy sector.
