9 November 2016, the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation announced the arrest of a new "subversive group" in Crimea. According to its reports, the members of subversive group were Ukrainian officers, who prepared explosions at military and civilian infrastructure facilities of the Crimea. Two of them were well-known in Ukraine even before the annexation of the peninsula, being the Crimean experts of a non-profit organization "Nomos", which had specialized in studying the geopolitical problems of the Black Sea region. Relatives and friends of the regular "Crimean saboteurs" do not believe that they could work on Ukrainian intelligence and prepare the attacks. Experts in comments to Radio Svoboda talk about another undertaking of the Russian special services, and associate it with the results of the US presidential election.
