The Ministry of Environment & Energy of Greece informs that the plans are part of the implementation of the Law on Gas Pipeline Construction. "This law is one more important step in the evolution of TAP. The gas pipeline has been included in the list of Top 10 of world’s most important projects," the Ministry said in a statement. Greece believes the pipeline will bring many benefits for the country, in particular, in the matter of population’s employment (about 10,000 jobs). "The project goal is to diversify sources of natural gas supply to Europe, i.e. it seeks to promote European energy security and efficiency, including for Greece," the Ministry considers.
