Regarding this the “Naftogaz” reported that: “This winter, the withdrawl of gas from underground storages since the beginning of the season is 19% less than last winter (and 45% less than in winter of 2014-2015, http://utg.ua/live). But this year it is a little colder.”

“And we like sitting in the evening in a warm room with a cup of racy tea and read “hogwash” about how Ukraine will freeze. Just here and now”, - "Naftogaz" says.

Also “Naftogaz” commented on the impact of recent cold weather on a possible interruption of gas supplies, about what we previously wrote (here): “And now let's watch what will happen. Arctic cold air masses affected Ukraine only briefly and only for a few days. Real cold is in Russia.

It is quite probable that "Gazprom" will not have enough gas resources both for heating Russians and for export to the EU. Then "Gazprom" will try to blame us as a source of own troubles. So, our line is transparency.

We are waiting for a favorite song: to scare that Ukraine withdraws gas from own UGSs. This is our gas and we pumped it into storages to use in winter. Ukraine does not have any obligations to help "Gazprom" with our stocks when it has not enough gas to meet all demands” - “Naftogaz” notes.
