The bill provides for simplification of registration of reverse gas. This will reduce the volume of gas purchases in Russia. As noted in the explanatory Memorandum, its adoption will improve the security of energy supply of Ukraine.

On 29 May 2015 the Ukrainian gas transportation system operator "Ukrtransgaz" and the Hungarian system operator FGSZ signed the contract about the combination of cross-border pipeline between the Ukraine and Hungary. The agreement applies to all pipelines crossing the Ukrainian-Hungarian border.
