Romania-Ukraine Cooperation in the Black Sea Region Security Dimension

Centre for Global Studies Strategy XXI participated in the conference “Romania-Ukraine: Building the Present, Working for the future, Learning from the Past”, organized by the Center for Army, Conversion and Disarmament Studies (Ukraine), the Diplomacy Academy of Ukraine and the New Strategy Center (Romania) on April 18, 2019 in Kyiv. The participants of the conference estimated the bilateral and regional cooperation, security challenges in the Black Sea region and consequences of Russian militarization of Crimea.

Mykhailo Gonchar, President of the Centre for Global Studies Strategy XXI, highlighted the key energy threats for the regional security and proposed actions on further bilateral cooperation (presentation_1). Vitalii Martyniuk, Executive Director of the Centre for Global Studies Strategy XXI, spoke about security challenges for the Black Sea region (presentation_2).

On the sidelines of the conference, Centre for Global Studies Strategy XXI, represented by President Mykhailo Gonchar, and the New Strategy Center, represented by Ambassador Lazăr Comănescu, member of the Scientific Council of the NSC, signed a cooperation agreement.
