In the middle of May 2015, the Centre for East European Policy Studies (Latvia) published a serie of articles under the tittle "War in Ukraine. Lessons for Europe". Among others, the article of the director of the National Defence Academy of Latvia’s Center for Security and Strategic Research Jānis Bērziņš "Russian New Generation Warfare is not Hybrid Warfare" is of high interest. The author pays attention to the strategy, phases and instruments of Russian military activities in Ukraine. From our point of view, the article presents deeper analysis and understanding of the core of Russian agression against Ukraine, where East European experts have better approach in comparison with cliches of Western European or American colleagues. This article is a continuation of a serie of materials "Russian new generation warfare", published in the Aspen Review Central Europe, Journal of Military Operations" in 2014.
