Our country is facing a moment of transformation where we recognize that the “doing as usual” is impossible. The Strategy on Sustainable Development “Ukraine - 2020”, adopted by the President of Ukraine in January 2015, is intended to help us come out stronger from the current crisis, assist in overcoming environmental challenges and ensure the sustainable development of Ukraine in the future. The article presents an overview of national activities that have to be done in order to effectively implement the Sustainable Development Strategy of Ukraine and reflects on how UN and EU processes impact the national policy on sustainable development.
