The aim of the project is research and evaluation of compliance with the EU standards, implementation in Ukraine of the experience and best practices of development of state capabilities in the EaP and EU countries to effectively counter challenges and threats of a new hybrid type in order to guarantee security of the society, to promote strategic communications by improving awareness among the Ukrainian public about the EU and the EU particular security programmes.

The following steps will be done in the framework of the project:

- assessment of state activities to counter hybrid threats and challenges in Ukraine and the comparison with the progress in other EaP and EU countries, as well as its compliance with the EU standards;

- the study of experience and best practices of the EaP and EU countries on development of state capabilities to provide security of the society in the context of countering hybrid threats and challenges;

- development of recommendations for the Ukrainian state authorities for further improving of state capabilities to counter the hybrid challenges and threats based on experience and best practices of the EaP and EU countries, as well as advocacy activities for their implementation;

- promoting increasing awareness about the EU and the EU programmes and more active involvement of Ukrainian NGOs in the processes of improving security of the society in the context of countering hybrid threats and challenges.

The project implementation period is 8 months (April, 1 - November, 30, 2017).
