The issue of political prisoners of the Kremlin should not be on periphery of official attention - Mykhailo Gonchar

On November 7, 2017, a ten-day exposition "The Prisoners of the Kremlin, or Test by Russia" was launched in the building of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine; it is dedicated to Ukrainian political prisoners who are now in prisons of the Russian Federation and in the annexed Crimea. At present, 61 such prisoners are listed by Ukrainian side.

Mykhailo Gonchar, president of the Centre for Global Studies Strategy XXI, said in an interview with the Rada TV channel that the issue of the political prisoners of the Kremlin somewhat shifted from the center of attention to the periphery. Therefore, the purpose of the exhibition is to attract the attention of the people's deputies, that this is a serious problem, it should not be on the periphery of state attention.
